Inline and offline finishing

The mix of being able to finish both inline and offline helps not only to produce amazing results, but also provides significant commercial advantages for our customers.

Embossing

Used to create either multi-level raised (embossed) images or debossed images, this process can be used to enhance selected areas (simple or complex) giving them a more interesting and tactile finish. We process board thickness up to 3mm and up to 720x1020mm sheet size.

Foiling

Using a wide range of standard metallic colours and some holographic, foil may be produced as a flat or raised (fluted) image. We can process board up to 3mm thick and up to 720x1020mm sheet size.

Die-cutting

This process is used to provide cut-out shapes or apertures within designs/products. We have the facility to die cut most materials and up to 720x1020mm sheet size.

Flitter

Enhance your design/product further by the use of flitter - tiny particles of glitter suspended in translucent clear solution creating an effective encapsulated effect when dry. Flitter is available in a wide variety of different colours. This is available in any size up to 720x1020mm.

Cutting, Creasing and Folding

Standard in most finishing - we have the skills and capacity to guillotine up to 720x1020mm. Then crease and fold on our wide variety of high-end equipment.

Wrapping and Bagging

We have the technology to cater for most wrapping and bagging projects - be it for Greetings Cards or Direct Mail. Our automated solutions provide fantastic quality and commercially attractive.

Gluing

Our automated gluing machines are capable of creasing, perforating, plough folding, box making and especially useful in wallet making, which are more cost effective than hand assembly.

Picking, packing and delivery

Our 25,000 sqft warehouse has extensive racking space, which facilitates our picking and packing operation, all controlled through our integrated stock system. With the added benefit of our own transport we have the flexibility to react to most situations.

Printing over Foil

This very specialised process is a Herbert Walker speciality – and simply means you can now give sections of your print a metallic, rather than having to pay for the expense of printing your whole piece on mirror board! Not only can you have strategic metallic foil you can then print over this in full colour, giving you stunning visual effects – ask our sales team for samples.

Pearlised Varnish

Again, a Herbert Walker speciality, we can save you the expense of buying a pearlised board for your complete print run by offering our pearlised varnish option. This also gives you the ability to pick and choose the sections of your print which have the pearlised effect, the rest being printed full colour etc.

Metal FX - MetalFX®

Technology is a revolutionary printing process that can be used to produce hundreds of metallic colours in one pass on a five-colour press. This provides an almost unlimited choice of metallic colours, without the expense of multiple spot inks.
